Lessons Learned

Welcome Home Mama Tina

Dear Friends,
I am excited to share with you that I will be returning to Africa for my second trip with Man Up and Go from June 15-July 1 this year!WUG Poster 2nd annual

In just two weeks I will journey back to Africa for the 2nd Annual Woman Up and Go conference!

I am especially excited to visit friends I met last year! I’m anxiously waiting to hear “Welcome Home Mama Tina! Welcome Home!” from Mama Juliet (upper left on poster above) at Home Again Ministry in Jinja Uganda and Woman Up and Go conference coordinator.

There are 13 of us on the team from several different states including my dear friend Jeanette who shared Jesus with me over 27 years ago when I began my walk with the Lord. (first woman on the bottom left of the poster above)

We’ll start our journey in Ethiopia and spend a few days on the ground visiting Korah, the trash dump where hundreds of people live and is featured in the film, “Man Up and Go.” Watch Man Up and Go Film

We will spend time with the children, visiting pastors and ministry friends, and encouraging both the men and the women in Korah in Jesus’ name.

Then we will fly to Uganda and experience one of the core programs Man Up and Go supports – the Super Saturday Feeding Program, where as many as 1000 kids will be fed and hear the Gospel.

We will visit and serve three different ministries Man Up supports. The women will conduct Woman Up conferences with the ladies, and the men will be talking authentic masculinity with the men. All of this in addition to loving big on the kiddos.

I will be able to visit with Mama Jonah (shown in picture with blue wrap) again who I met last year and was able to share my story of healing with her. For the full story you can visit my blog: Jonah in Uganda

I would be incredibly grateful if you would consider being a part of this team through prayer support!

I am excited to see how God uses our team to spread the message of hope and love of Jesus Christ to “the fatherless and the least of these” in Africa.
